Growing in numbers: ISH opens second P1 class in January 2017

Due to increasing enrolment and in an effort to provide the best possible learning environment for our youngest students, the Board of ISH has approved the request to add a second P1 class.

This decision has a positive impact on both teachers and students. Whilst the teachers can provide a more individualized attention to student care, the young learners can enjoy more space to explore and engage in the learning process of the established P1 programme. The Early Childhood Centre Team has worked closely together to determine the class placement for each child, ensuring the best possible balance of factors such as nationality, age, gender, mother tongue and significant social connections.

The teacher who will be taking the new class, Ms Anja Dexter, has well over 20 years experience in teaching, both in the United States as well as in Germany. Ms Dexter has been a highly valued member of our ECC team at ISH for the past 11 years and will create a wonderful learning climate for our students. She will be joined by Mrs Ai Hammond, P1 classroom assistant, who brings another 13 years experience in childhood education.

We look forward to welcoming our new P1 students and wish our team of teachers all the best in the months to come.
