The exhibition, the first to be held in the school auditorium, represented the culmination of the two-year Visual Arts IB Diploma Programme at ISH. It was a great opportunity for the ISH community and the public, to view a wide range of finished artworks. The students had the opportunity to see their work set up in gallery-like surroundings and feel the pride of accomplishment that goes with a public display.
In addition, the community got a window into the creativity being nurtured at ISH and to witness the talent that is blossoming amongst our students. The artists’ statements explaining the themes they sought to illuminate through their art was displayed alongside their work, giving everybody an insight in their creative process.
Thanks to the support from teachers and parents, the viewers could admire the artwork while enjoying finger food and drinks, and listen to music played by students and their teacher.
