ISH celebrates its diversity at the International Fair

One of the highlights of the school year at ISH is the annual International Fair. And this year, once again, was a huge success. For months, students, parents, and staff at ISH were looking forward to this event and started planning the many details.

On Saturday, November 19, ISH was transformed into a colorful display, representing the school’s 56 nations and their traditions.

The traditional Flag Parade kicked off the fair during which students, dressed in traditional folk costumes, carried the flags of all the countries represented at ISH. The “Elephunk” Band gave the first performance of the afternoon on the Aula stage, followed by wonderful student songs and a breathtaking Japanese Kendo performance.

Visitors were amazed by the many fantastic offerings of delicious foods. Another highlight was the Country Basket raffle and the chance to win fantastic tombola prizes donated by generous local businesses and private donors.

Once again, the International Fair was a wonderful way to learn about other nations’ customs and traditions. It remains one of ISH’s most beloved events and is our way of celebrating the many vibrant cultures that make up our community.

We thank the PTA and the school’s parents for their great effort in making this event a wonderful experience for everybody involved!
