This year, ISH community, family and friends had the opportunity to experience the spooky and macabre world of the Addams Family, a musical show presented by our Theatre and Music Departments.
The acting, creative, choreography and production team headed by Emma Avila Collazos, John Hammond and Ismael Avila Collazos treated us to three fantastic evening shows filled with great dramatic music famously and popularly attributed to the Addams Family, played by our school band and orchestra.
The students exhibited great talent of combining acting and singing with style and confidence, and once again carrying on the tradition of brilliant musical presentations at ISH. With class, humour and wit, they exemplified that indeed family secrets can be destructive. As well, their performance stressed the need to accept people for who they really are.
The show was a huge success. This, of course, can only be achieved through great team spirit, effort and the hard work of students, parents and various staff members. Our teachers were on hand supervising the Tech Crew who created the precise scary world with special light and sound effects. Teachers also managed the Backstage crew, ensuring actors were ready, calm and on point. Delicious food and drinks helped to make the experience of watching “The Addams Family Musical” at ISH a wonderful night out.
A big thank you to everybody who contributed and made this a most remarkable show.
